Construction Training
Opportunity

Hazelwood Initiative and The Community Builders have partnered to redevelop the former Gladstone School into affordable apartments. The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Western PA will conduct a trainer-based NCCER-accredited training program.

 

The first module will involve approximately 50 hours of classroom time covering:

​

  1. Safety

  2. Tools

  3. Employability

  4. Rigging

  5. Construction drawings

  6. Construction math

  7. Large tools/machinery 

  8. Construction site communication

​​

The team will assist in placing graduates into construction jobs at Gladstone School upon completion.

​
